Troubleshooting

• My GPSMAP 67 does not respond. How do I reset the device?
  • Press and hold the (Power) button for >30 seconds and then release.
  • Allow the GPSMAP 67 to cool if hot to the touch.

• How do I reset all settings back to factory defaults?
  • Setup > Reset > Reset All Settings.

• How do I Master Reset my GPSMAP 67?
  • Power the GPSMAP 67 off.
  • Press and hold the (Page) and (Enter) buttons simultaneously.
  • Press and release the (Power) button.
  • The GPSMAP 67 will begin the boot process.
  • Release the (Page) and (Enter) buttons when prompted "Erase all user data?"
  • Select [Erase] and press (Enter).

• My GPSMAP 67 is not acquiring satellite signals.
  • Power your GPSMAP 67 On.
  • Place the GPSr outside, in clear view of the sky, away from any obstructions, for several minutes.
  • If no improvement >30 minutes, from the Satellite page, select Menu > Use With GPS Off > Use With GPS On > AutoLocate Position.
  • Place the GPSr outside, in clear view of the sky, away from any obstructions, for several minutes.
  • If no improvement >30 minutes, perform Master Reset (above) and repeat.

• My GPSMAP 67 will not charge.
  • Ensure the USB-C cable is inserted fully.
  • Reduce backlight brightness.
  • Ensure ambient temperature is between 32ºF and 122ºF (0ºC - 50ºC).

• My GPSMAP 67 battery gauge is not accurate.
  • Leave the device powered on until the battery is completely discharged.
  • Charge the battery fully without interruption.

• The battery does not last very long.

• How can I be sure my GPSMAP 67 is in MTP Mode?
  • See MTP Mode.

• My GPSMAP 67 is not reading data from the microSD card.
  • Confirm the microSD card meets supported specifications.
  • Verify the microSD card is installed securely and correctly.
  • Ensure microSD card is formatted FAT32 (not exFAT).
  • Try using a different microSD card.

• My PC frequently displays "USB Device not recognized" when I connect my GPSr.

• While trying to load GCLive data, my GPSMAP 67 perpetually displays a spinning wheel on the screen and no data is loaded.
  • Verify your GPSMAP 67 has a functional internet connection via either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
  • Check Setup > Geocaching > Geocaching Live to verify the unit is registered with a valid groundspeak account.
  • Select Setup > Geocaching > Geocaching Live > Unregister to unregister the device.
  • Select Setup > Geocaching > Register Device and complete registration with desired groundspeak account.

• I'm having trouble pairing my GPSr with my smart phone via Garmin Connect or Explore.
  • Try this solution.

• My GPSMAP 67 keeps shutting down before finishing the boot sequence.

Hidden Test Pages

• Power On Test Page:
  • Start with the GPSMAP 67 powered off.
  • Press and release the (Power) button.
  • Immediately Press and hold the (Enter) button.
  • The GPSMAP 67 will boot into a test menu.
  • Release the (Enter) button.
  • Select desired menu option.

• Trip Computer Test Page:
  • Start with the GPSMAP 67 powered on.
  • Open the Trip Computer page.
  • Press (Right) until final Trip Computer data page is displayed.
  • Press (Up) > (Right) > (Down) > (Left).
  • A test menu will be displayed.
  • Select desired menu option.
