Never have I done this before, but I feel I must warn those considering purchasing an eTrex Touch 2, these devices were released with incredibly buggy firmware and are missing so many common features from previous models, I just cannot recommend purchasing them in their current form.

Keep an eye on this forum and the GPSrChive > eTrex Touch 2 > Common Issues page for updates.

Here are just a few of many examples taken directly from the Garmin Forums:

• A Disappointed GPSMap Veteran's Take on the H1
• It looks like that H1 getting buggier day by day...
• Difference in number of satellites received between H1 series and 67 series
• The lack of a profile option is a serious problem for SAR teams!!?
• inReach Weather Not Working
• Almost impossible to do anything serious with this device
• after 3 weeks, my H1i plus is down and now at back to Garmin
• GPSMAP H1 seems buggy

Note: The eTrex Touch 2 and GPSMAP H1 series share the same architecture and software

Of course, everyone is free to do as they wish. Just expect an unnatural level of frustration with these new models until (if) the firmware matures to a more usable level. This process may require months or even years to complete, if ever.

Most users would be much better served with a previous or different model.
