How To... Use TracBack on Legacy Outdoor Handhelds

Geko 201 and Geko 301 Outdoor Handhelds

  1. Resetting Track and Trip Data

Tracking will start automatically once a satellite connection is acquired. Due to this, it is best to reset the track and trip data at your starting point so your device knows the path you should follow back with TracBack. This also helps eliminate straight lines from your last known location to your current location (ie. from your home to the current trailhead).

    1. Press the PAGE key until the main menu displays.
    2. Select TRACKS.
    3. Select CLEAR.
    4. Select YES when prompted with DO YOU REALLY WANT TO CLEAR THE TRACK LOG?

  2. Saving the Current Track Log

    1. Press the PAGE key until the main menu displays.
    2. Select TRACKS.
    3. Select SAVE.
    4. Press the UP or DOWN key to pick a begin point, then press the OK key to select it.
    5. Press the UP or DOWN key to pick an end point, then press the OK key to select it.

    • The track is now saved and appears in the SAVED TRACKS list.

  3. Performing a TracBack

    1. Press the PAGE key until the main menu displays.
    2. Select TRACKS.
    3. Select a saved track.

    • To exit a TracBack route, press the OK key while viewing the Navigation page and select STOP NAVIGATION.
