cannot load routes

I have a horrible issue. I keep trying to upload a GPX file with a route, but when more gpx files are uploaded, the routes disappear.
I have to perform various fiddling, such as re-removing EDM folder content, erasing and re-0uplaoding gpx files, to get what I want.

this is so depressing, this unit is unreliable.

Sounds like typical Garmin Explore issues. Try using the device without being paired to Explore (remove from Explore) and see if the missing data issue resolves itself.
