Wow. I am really surprised. They changed it with 10.80! Blue Pin symbols are back and indicate, which waypoints belong to active route.

A small notice. When not using a route, but a simple A->B route via Where To? and adding afterwards a via point, the blue pin needle is missing and this small square is again being used.

Not changed in 13.10.

There is a change in 14.80, which makes it worse. Simple A->B routes now also don't have any blue needle anymore. Its gone, while pre-planed routes still have it. Really annoying, as an added via point is now hard to see.
