"swoopy up-arrow icon"

Unread post by steerage250 »

The manual says that the "swoopy up-arrow icon" means it is "sending InReach messages".

The icon seems permanent at the of my GPSr - is that the same for everyone else?

When I transmit an InReach message, the "swoopy up-arrow icon" appears next to the message actually as it transmits and then disappears when it is sent.

Please reference: GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66i > Function > Status Bar Icons for a more accurate explanation of what each status bar symbol indicates.

In this instance, the 'swoopy up-arrow icon' indicates 'Sending/Receiving inReach Data'. This is not limited to only inReach Messages, but also inReach Tracking and any other information shared over the Iridium satellite network.
