InReach Remote for handsets

I am not planing to buy a Mini2, but out of curiosity, since Mini2 (and Mini) does support inReach Remote. Can be the inReach Remote also be used with InReach enabled handsets like 66i/86i or 7x0i and vice versa? I am aware, that the main idea is to use a non inReach device with inReach Remote, so I am really asking only out of curiosity.

Unfortunately, the inReach included devices do not have the inReach Remote app available on them.

Only a non-inReach equipped device with the inReach Remote app can be used with external inReach devices, and only in a very limited way.

You are likely much better off just using your mobile device with the Explore app to control your inReach devices remotely.

BTW, the new MINI 2 is so much better than the original. I have both, and the MINI 2 has redeemed the product line.
