Display timeout does not work as expected
I tried various display timeouts (1 Min, 2 Min, ...) but my display switches off even after 10..15 sec.
Battery is at 75%
Does the timeout works correctly on other H1?
Firmware: 3.0.4

Re: Display timeout does not work as expected
I encountered this as well, but after setting the display timeout to never (which will enable setting the backlight timeout), the settings for backlight and display timeout seemed to work as they should.

Also unable to duplicate here, but we are running a slightly newer firmware, so this may be resolved for you after the next public firmware update.
Out of curiosity, on your Settings > System > About page, are the 'Software Version' and 'Host Software Version' the same?

OK, that's good!
You should always confirm the 'Software Version' and 'Host Software Version' match each other after each device update.

Re: Display timeout does not work as expected
I have encountered this as well.
The time out worked fine from boot up but when I selected a new activity the screen would shout off after a few seconds.
I have reported this to Garmin in the UK and have sent them files from the Garmin folder, at their request.
Firmware 3.04

Try setting a longer shutdown time for each "Activity" separately and restart the device,Colourise wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 4:15 pm The time out worked fine from boot up but when I selected a new activity the screen would shout off after a few seconds.
maybe the shutdown time in H1 can be set for each "Activity" individually.
In my receiver, I can set different shutdown times for different "Profiles" (Activities) independently.

Re: Display timeout does not work as expected
I can’t find a setting for display timeout for each activity.
On my unit (firmware v3.04) the display timeout is in the settings menu, which appears to be a global setting, and shows the same timeout no matter what activity is being used.
What firmware version is your device, please?
thanks

For me the same problem; the option 'Never' does not work for me either, the screen goes out after 10-15 seconds ...
