What do you mean by writing "My problem is that my route loads absolutely fine"?

The route determined using the route planner in the device based on the gpx file is not the same route
that you sent from Base Camp, the device has determined its "own" route based on the data contained in the gpx file.

If the map in Base Camp has roads marked that are not marked on the map that is in the device, the device will not be able to display the route determined in this way and the device may freeze.

If you can, plan a short route in Base Camp on the map displayed from the device.

After sending and starting in the device, in the first phase the route should be displayed as a line of straight sections and after a while it will take the shape determined in Base Camp.

Apologies for any confusion,
For speed I have always uses the find button then select routes and then select my route and press enter with go displayed on the map , this has always worked until the last two updates.
If I now try and load a turn by turn hike route this way the device crashes and turns off.
But the same route loads absolutely fine if i goto main menu select route planner select my route select the map icon and press enter with go, route loads fine.
But the same routes will not load from find button

@RunnerAndrew

FYI, from our contact on the inside:
Garmin wrote:The user should reach out to Product Support so that they can troubleshoot with them directly and create an FQC through which they can gauge impact and see if they can reproduce with files directly from the user.

Can you share the GPX route files from your GPSr so we can test them?

Hi Garmin have identified the issue with my device and are going to come back to me with a fix.
They were already aware of the issue I was experiencing and firmware version 8.90 has fixed this.
Although I used Garmin express to update my device to 8.90 the update had not worked correctly, when you view my about info from Setup about firmware along the top line is shown as 8.90 but further down when it says host firmware my device still shows 8.80 amd Garmin express still shows that I have 8.80 and will not update fully to 8.90.
They are going to advise me a fix for this.

Checked my device, and it does indeed also show Host Software version 8.80 while the first line shows Software Version 8.90.

Interested in what fix for this Garmin will advise!

Hi Jim, Garmin support have emailed me a force.tmp file and the gupdate.gsp file and by putting these both into my device the host software now shows 8.90 and the find - routes issue with crashing is fixed , you should also be emailed these files from support fingers crossed
