GPSr

To begin using Southwest Trails immediately with your Garmin GPS receiver:

• Download the Southwest Trails.zip map archive
• Unzip (Extract) the Southwest Trails archive
• Connect your Garmin GPSr in Mass Storage Mode
• Remove any previously installed Southwest Trails map files
• Copy the Southwest Trails.img map to the [GPSr]\Garmin\ or [microSD]\Garmin\ directory
• Disconnect and restart your Garmin GPSr
• Enable Southwest Trails in the map selection setup menu on your Garmin GPSr

GPSr Clone

To view Southwest Trails using Garmin BaseCamp without installing the map to your computer:

• Create a Virtual GPSr Flashdrive
• Download the Southwest Trails.zip map archive
• Unzip (Extract) the Southwest Trails archive
• Connect your Garmin GPSr Clone
• Remove any previously installed Southwest Trails map files
• Copy the Southwest Trails.img map to the [Flashdrive]\Garmin\ directory
• Use JaVaWa Device Manager to Enable Southwest Trails for BaseCamp
• Restart BaseCamp and choose Southwest Trails from the Map Selection Menu

Windows

(Future Release)
To view the Southwest Trails map using Garmin MapSource or BaseCamp on a PC:

• Close all active MapSource and/or BaseCamp programs
• Download the current Southwest Trails for Windows archive
• Unzip the Southwest Trails archive
• Execute the Southwest Trails mapset installer
• Map files are installed and registered
• Restart MapSource and/or BaseCamp as desired
• Select Southwest Trails from the map menu to confirm installation

Mac

(Future Release)
To view the Southwest Trails map using Garmin BaseCamp on a Mac:

• Close any active BaseCamp applications
• Download the current Southwest Trails for Mac archive
• Extract the Southwest Trails map from the compressed archive
• Double click the *.gmapi map file, invoking Garmin MapManager
• The selected map will be displayed under "Install these map(s)?"
• Select "Install", and then "Close" after installation is completed
• MapManager will display a list of all Garmin compatible maps installed on your computer
• Close MapManager
• Open BaseCamp
• Select Southwest Trails from the map menu to confirm installation
