Radio Operation
- Using the Radio
- To use the Group Ride Tracker, you must first
connect a compatible
GPSr and an antenna to the Group Ride Mount.
- You can then configure Group Ride Tracker
settings as desired on the GPSr.
- The GPSr will
automatically configure the radio when you join or create a group ride.
- Some features may not be available on all
product models.
- Radio Range
- The Group Ride Tracker includes a VHF antenna that
provides an operational range between ΒΌ and 4 miles.
- An availble antenna mounting kit can extend
the Group Ride Tracker operating range up to 8 miles.
- Radio performance will vary with antenna
selection and installation, local terrain, and other line-of-sight
limitations.

- Legal Restrictions
- Always verify country, state, county, or
city laws regarding the use of radio communication products before using
the radio.
- Certain frequencies may be illegal to use
in the state or country where you intend to use the radio.
- Using the radio in a prohibited location
may result in the device being inoperable until it is moved to an
authorized location.
- It is the responsibility of the user of
the Group Ride Tracker to know the specific regulations for their
state/country.
Radio Frequencies
- Europe
- The Group Ride Tracker operates using VHF
frequencies between 169.4125 - 169.4625 MHz.
- Australia
- The Group Ride Tracker operates using VHF
frequencies between 151.1500 - 152.1500 MHz.
- New Zealand
- The Group Ride Tracker operates using VHF
frequencies between 160.1750 - 160.5750 MHz.
Software Updates
- Procedure
- The Group Ride Tracker software version is checked each time it is
connected to a host device.
- When a newer software version is available, the host device will
apply the Group Ride Tracker update automatically.
