FAQ
WG1.) What is Wherigo?
You can find out more details about the Wherigo game here.
WG2.) How do I load/play a Wherigo cartridge on the Garmin Oregon?
From the Wherigo site select "Garmin
Oregon" when downloading your cartridge. Copy the .gwc file you receive into [drive]:\Wherigo , disconnect, power on and select Main Menu>Wherigo and select the cartridge you just downloaded to get started.
WG3.) How do I know which version of the Wherigo Player I'm using?
Select Main Menu>Wherigo and press the "i" button. This will display the Garmin Player and Wherigo Engine Version.
WG4.) How do I use the Garmin Oregon to navigate to the starting point of a cartridge?
All the Oregon gives you in this respect is a distance and bearing. You'll see this on the main Wherigo page that lists the cartridges. You cannot use the normal navigation features of the Oregon to autoroute you to the beginning or view at the Locations on maps.
WG5.) How do I navigate to a Location within the cartridge using the Garmin Oregon?
Again, you only get a distance and bearing (cardinal letter or degrees) to the location. You can't use the compass, maps or any of the other features of the Oregon to help.
WG6.) I need to upload my save file (.gws) in order to complete my cartridge. How do I do that?
The save files are stored in [drive]:\Wherigo\Saves and have the format [cartridge_name].gws.
WG7.) I need to debug a cartridge, someone asked me to send my log file for a cartridge. Where is that?
Log files are saved in [drive]:\Wherigo\Saves and have the format [cartridge_name].gwl.

Resolved
- (2.99) Improved Wherigo stability. Wherigo player performance is slow on the Oregon. Playing the Whack-a-Lackey cartridge on the Oregon demonstrates the issue. Play this cartridge in the most difficult mode with the largest playing field. The performance issue is seen when arriving at a "Lackey" or a "Black Hole". The Oregon freezes for 10-15 seconds each time this happens (2.93)

(2.99) Improved Wherigo stability. (Crash) Selecting an item in Inventory does not display the name, text and images associated with the item and occasionally can crash the GPS. Use the Wherigo Tutorial cartridge to see the issue. Select Play>Inventory>Spacesuit to start. Note that only the "Wear" button is visible, no name, description or image. Click "Wear" and go "back". Sometimes the Spacesuit name and image will display, sometimes the unit will crash. Behavior is similar with other cartridges when you select items from inventory. (2.98)

(2.3) No specific Garmin release note. Sometimes after restoring a Wherigo cartridge clicking the first action after the game was restored brings you to a quit Wherigo with save yes/no dialog instead of continuing (2.2)
