Perform Diagnostic Tests and View Device Information:
  • Start with the GPSMAP H1 powered off.
  • Press and Release the (POWER) button.
  • Immediately Press and Hold the (ENTER) button.
  • The GPSMAP H1 will boot into a diagnostic menu.
  • Release the (ENTER) button.
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit active test.
  • Press and Hold (POWER) to exit Diagnostic Page and reboot the device.

ALS Tests
 
  • View ambient light sensor data.
  • Press (MARK) to cycle through backlight brightness values.
  • Press (ENTER) to cycle color band options.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit menu.
 
 
ANT/BLE/BT Tests
 
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test.
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test options.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test option.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit selected test option.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit test menu.
 
 
Audio Tests
 
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test.
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test options.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test option.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit selected test option.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit test menu.
 
 
BNS Tests
 
  • View BNS Adv/Conn Test status.
  • Press (UP) to cycle Adv Interval.
  • Press(DOWN) to cycle Tx Power.
  • Press (ENTER) to cycle State (Ready/Advertising).
  • Press (QUIT) to pause test State (Wait).
  • Press (PAGE) to exit.
 
 
Boot Setup
 
  • Press (ENTER) to toggle 'Boot Into Test Mode' on / off.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Camera Tests
 
  • View Front and Rear camera images in real time.
  • Press (MARK) to cycle between Front and Rear cameras.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Compass Tests
 
  • View accelerometer and magnetometer values in real time.
  • View compass true north and magnetic heading values in real time.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Device Info
 
  • View Device Hardware, Software and GPS Chipset versions.
  • View ESN and IMEI numbers.
  • View PCB and Display versions.
  • View RAM type and ID, Charge Rate, Total device time and time since last reset.
  • View USB-C connection ID, battery temperature (°C), voltage (mV), current flow (mA) and charge level (capacity).
  • View Backlight value, Barometric pressure and ambient temperature (°C).
  • View Manifest status - Press (MARK) to generate a new \Internal Storage\GARMIN\manifest.txt file (may require several minutes to complete).
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to adjust backlight brightness.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Display Tests
 
  • Press (LEFT) or (RIGHT) to navigate available display tests.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Flashlight Tests
 
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to adjust duty cycle.
  • Press (ENTER) to enable or disable flashlight.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Gyro Tests
 
  • View raw internal gyroscope data.
  • Spin, Flip and Rotate device to see values change.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Key Test
 
  • Press individual keys to view response on display.
  • Press (POWER) a second time to unlock keys.
  • Press (QUIT) a second time to exit.
 
 
Iridium Tests
 
  • Select from available Iridium tests.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test and view results.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Safety Tests
 
  • Select desired option and press (ENTER) to toggle on / off.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
TSC BIST
 
  • Draw on screen.
  • Press (ENTER) to start next test.
  • View test results.
  • Press (ENTER) to clear result.
  • Repeat steps above for each test (1-5).
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
TSC Draw
 
  • Draw on screen.
  • View live X / Y coordinates on lower left side of display
  • View bounding X / Y coordinates on lower right side of display.
  • Press (MARK) to clear screen and reset all coordinate values.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit.
 
 
Wi-Fi Tests
 
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test.
  • Press (UP) or (DOWN) to select desired test options.
  • Press (ENTER) to activate selected test option.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit selected test option.
  • Press (QUIT) to exit test menu.
