• Activity types help customize the way routes are calculated based on what you’re doing.
• When each activity is selected, additional configuration options for that activity are presented.
• Available routing options vary by activity.
• Each activity has its own set of specific, applicable avoidance's.
• The GPSMAP 66 will retain unique routing settings for each activity type in each profile.
• Routing data only from enabled maps will be considered when calculating routing requests.
• Enabling more than one routable map may result in routing errors and/or adverse performance.

 

Direct Routing

• Enable or disable Direct Routing as desired
• Additional routing configuration settings displayed on this page will vary based on this selection
  • Yes (Disables Activity, Route Calculation and Avoidance options, Enables Route Transitions)
  • No (Enables Route Calculation and Avoidance options for selected Activity, Disables Route Transitions)

Activity

• Displayed only when Direct Routing is disabled
• The device will calculate a route optimized for the selected activity
• Available routing settings will vary by activity
  • Automobile Driving (available only when using CityNavigator maps)
  • Motorcycle Driving (available only when using CityNavigator maps)
  • Cycling
  • Tour Cycling
  • Mountain Biking
  • Pedestrian Walking
  • Hiking
  • Mountaineering
  • ATV/Off Road Driving (available only when using CityNavigator maps)
  • Prompted (User selects desired activity each time navigation begins)

Route Transitions

• Displayed only when Direct Routing is enabled
• Selects how the device routes from one point along the route to the next
  • Auto (Automatically routes user to the next in-sequence route point)
  • Manual (Allows user to select next point from the route)
  • Distance (Routes to the next closest route point when within user specified distance of current route point)
