Custom Voices

The GPSMAP 276Cx can provide vocal guidance when used with compatible routable maps and an external audio device (Powered Mount, Headphones, etc).

Voice Selection

• Voices currently installed on the GPSMAP 276Cx can be viewed and enabled in Setup > Sound > Voice Language.

Automated Voice Installation

1. Ensure you have the latest Garmin Communicator Plugin installed.
2. Connect your GPSMAP 276Cx via USB and enter Mass Storage Mode.
3. Choose the desired voice from the Garmin Garage.
4. Select [Install Now].
5. Disconnect and restart the GPSMAP 276Cx.

Manual Voice Installation

1. Connect your GPSMAP 276Cx via USB and enter Mass Storage Mode.
2. Choose the desired voice from the Garmin Garage.
3. Select [Download Now].
4. Save the file to your computer.
5. Unzip the saved archive.
6. Copy the voice file (*.vpm) to the GPSMAP 276Cx\Garmin\Voice directory.
7. Disconnect and restart the GPSMAP 276Cx.
