Check Firmware Version |
- Power on the Foretrex 101/201.
- Cycle the Page
key until the Satellite page is displayed.
- Press the Enter
key.
- Select "ABOUT
FORETREX" and press the Enter key.
- The current
firmware version will be displayed.
- Press the Enter
key to exit.

Manual Updates
- Download and run the desired *.EXE firmware update
to unzip needed files.
- Connect the Foretrex 101/201 to an available serial
port on your computer.
- Configure the Foretrex 101/201 interface for
'GARMIN', 'GRMN', 'GRMN/GRMN' or 'Data Transfer/Host'.
- Place the Foretrex 101/201 in Simulator Mode.
- Run UPDATER.EXE
to perform the data transfer.
- Disconnect and reboot the Foretrex 101/201.

- Fixed problem with displaying a message in certain
languages. For example, a 'WEAK GPS SIGNALS' message in
Dutch would cause the unit to lock up.

- Added REPEAT option under WHEN EXPIRED: in Timer setup.
If selected, this feature will automatically restart the
timer back to its original value upon expiration. This is
useful for rotating starts in sailboat racing.
- Fixed problem with MGRS location display being too large
for biggest trip computer field.
- Fixed problem with route transitions not happening at
the set distance.
