GPSMAP 65, 65s Firmware Update 3.50 released 06NOV20:

Changes made from version 3.30 to 3.50:

• Fixed possible issues reconnecting to phones after a power cycle.

• Fixed issue routing to next stage geocache.

• Initial release.

I didn't get a notice to update to 3.50 when I connected to Garmin Express tonight, but did an update to the TopoActive maps. I'm installing that now. Will Garmin Express notify me that it's available?

Yes.

Garmin releases firmware updates in a staggered pattern for different parts of the world.

The update will be available to everyone soon.

It just finished the TopoActive maps update, and now shows the 3.50 software. It must have done it as part of the update??

Sounds like they snuck it in there.....
