At least three users have reported loss of data in the Garmin Forum when updating to the windows version 4.7.3:

So far as we can determine, only those who had previously updated then back dated to an older version of BaseCamp are experiencing this issue, and after checking their BaseCamp database directories, they do find their 'missing' data.

I had this issue and discovered an option in BaseCamp to revert to the 4.6 database. That brought back all of my missing data. Worth a try for anyone else that runs into this.
