On the copyright page on the Montana 750i I found a reference to the "Android Open Source Project" for used software used?

Does anyone (gpsrchive?) knows for what this software is used?
Is this code available (used on the device) as it is open source?

Possibly related to some of the code used in either Garmin Connect or Garmin Explore, both of which are used by the Montana.

If this is true: Why is this not listed on devices like the GPSMAP 66?

Without access to the device source code, I couldn't even begin to imagine why.....
