Track limits

Unread post by Wittyhandle »

I looked in the forum, but I didn’t see anyone ask this question.
For the Montana 6x0, it lists the track limit as 200. It also lists gpx file limit as 2000, and says gpx files can contain tracks. I know tracks can be archived and not count against the 200 track limit.
My question is, If I import a track from basecamp to my unit, does it count against the 200 track limit, or is it considered a gpx file with a cap of 2000? If it is considered a gpx file, does that mean I can have more than 200 tracks active and unarchived, or is 200 the hard limit on that?

Only 200 tracks will be indexed and available on the Montana 6x0, regardless of how they are imported. They could all be in a single GPX file, or they could be in 200 individual GPX files, or any other combination, so long as there are no more than 2000 total combined GPX files in the Montana\Garmin\GPX and microSD\Garmin\GPX directories.
