Skip waypoint while navigating a route

Navigating a route today (motorcycle) I missed a waypoint. This was on a route authored in MRA and imported so the waypoint was slightly off the road.

The device kept trying to navigate me back to the waypoint until it finally gave up.

I couldn’t find a way to skip the waypoint - am I missing something or is this not possible.

See GPSrChive > Montana 7x0 > Setup > Routing > Advanced Setup > Off Route Recalculation and select the option here that best suites your needs.

Which do you have selected now?

It’s set up as follows:
Direct routing: No
activity: automobile driving
advanced set up>
Lock on roads: yes
Calculation method: minimise time
Off Route Calculation: Prompted
Avoidance Setup>
U turns
Interstate highways

But I don’t see anything here that would enable me to skip a waypoint

I would have expected the Off Route Recalculation = Prompted to provide a pop-up message asking if you wanted to skip the current route point.

There is no way I am aware of to manually select route points and skip them, but you can skip the current route point once you have 'missed' it.

I didn’t get an off route prompt, but could you tell me how to skip a “route point” please?

I think the issue may be because I created the route in MRA then imported it as GPX 1.1.

Although the waypoints show in the route in the Montana they are not editable so maybe they come over as via points
