GPSMAP H1 / H1i Plus Firmware 7.07

Garmin has released firmware version 7.07 for the GPSMAP H1 and H1i Plus. Unfortunately not change log available yet.
GPS Software Version is up to 8.01 (from 6.04 in previous release), so wondering what effect that will have on accuracy.
(Note that Garmin releases updates in stages, so it may not show up for your device yet.)

One thing I noticed is that is now possible to sort in the Saved Data app, on distance and name (ascending and descending).
Edit: and, I kid you not, the battery percentage is now displayed in the status bar when you have the control center open.

Added support for waypoint and geocache symbol overrides
wohho. Finally got this unit and putting it through its geocaching paces.

Thanks for posting the change log here...
For the life of, I can't seen to get list bulleting working in this forum. It would correctly bullet the first item but all the other items after that would have no bullet. Wondering now if one needs to insert the begin/end tags on each line you want bulleted. If that's the case, that's not very efficient.

An Unexpected update which I have loaded.
It is too early to gauge the impact but sadly a couple of negative things noticed straight away.
The home/start Screen – mini Map is a mush. All pixelated it is the same on the mini Map on the Geocaching page see attached screenshots.
I also noticed that My “North up“ Map setting had changed to track up.
Also My setting for day/night mode had changed to auto. I have it on day mode all the time.
I will be testing this a lot in an upcoming trip to South Africa in the next month

FWIW. I am now on my fourth H1 Just replaced by Garmin. See posting on “device freezes.” Elsewhere in this forum
