So, when I set up the trip computer data fields for an activity, and when I power up to do that same activity later, all the trip computer data fields are now changed to things that I do not want. How can I lock my data field changes?

Shutdown and restarted a bunch of times and data fields seem to be set now. Glad that ironed itself out.

Make sure you are on unit software v5.09. This was a bug in previous versions I believe where the data fields and Home Screen layouts had very odd behavior. I don't know that v5.09 totally corrected the issue but it is at least much better.
v5.09 also added the ability to lock data fields. Tap and hold on any data field and there is setting to Lock/Unlock Data fields.
