Please help support GPSrChive by sending a copy of the GarminDevice.xml file from your inReach MINI 3 to the address below.

Please also, let us know which firmware version your brand new out of the box inReach MINI 3 was loaded with BEFORE any updates were performed.

Just received my Mini 3 Plus today. The firmware was 2.96.

There was an onscreen prompt that a new firmware was ready to install but it hasn’t installed yet.

There is no email address in your notice, just an @ ampersand

Sorry I missed the version question...

Firmware Version: 4.03(43P)
Multi-GNSS 6.09
Touchscreen 1.02
BLE/ANT 1.03
Iridium Primary Version 1.4.5
Iridium Fallback Version 1.4.5

The update process was a little wonky. The Garmin Explore app message indicated the update had loaded to the Mini 3 Plus but I did a couple of restarts and the firmware did not update.

I connected the Mini 3 Plus to my laptop and the computer indicated an update was loaded. I tried restarting the Mini 3 and it did not update. I tried again from the laptop and restarted the Mini 3 and the update was found and loaded.

Maybe it was an issue because the initial software was not ready for prime time and Garmin was in a rush to get the Mini 3 out before Christmas.

If you look at the list of fixes from 2.x > 4.03 it was very long. I guess I'll see how the update process goes the next time they issue one.

I've only used it on a couple of MTB rides and some test messages to my wife and haven't seen any issues.
