Barometer mode settings do not survive a power-cycle [Bug 21]

Unread post by WallyGator »

Unit: eTrex Touch (Gen 2, 2025 model), Software Version 4.09

The selected Barometer mode setting does NOT survive a power cycle
100% reproducible

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select the Barometer app
2. From the "Hamburger" menu, select "Barometer Setup"
3. Change Barometer Mode to "Fixed Elevation"
4. Power-cycle the unit
5. After the unit has restarted, Check the Barometer setting as above. The setting will have reverted back to "Variable Elevation"

This issue has been reported to Garmin via email. I'll update with their response

Please retest after the next firmware update and report if bug is still present!

This bug has not been resolved with firmware v5.09

Does the same bug apply to the GPSMAP H1?

No, but there's actually a Delorean living in my neighborhood. Although I don't think it's a week older than anything else around here.
Sorry for the date error. :?
