I just encountered that the official swiss positioning format Swissgrid LV95 ist not supported, just the old LV03 (from 1903!)
This format is supported on all know Garmin GPS for many years now.Except the H1.
For users in switzerland this is a no go and already I already reported this to Garmin. They told me they will check.

Fw: 3.04

This probably applies to other Garmin devices as well.
The Oregon 650T uses Swiss Grid - Datum CH-1903, Map Spheroid Bassell 1841,
which means it's not the LV95 system; the LV95 coordinate system is based on WGS84.
If you want to display coordinates in the LV95 system, you can create a custom grid using the LV95 system parameters.
Choosing a datum on the device serves no purpose other than displaying data in the user's desired format and entering coordinates stored in that format.
It does not affect the device's operation.

No the newer system is available for a long time on Garmin GPS.
On all my current Garmin GPS (except the H1) I can coose between
Swiss Grid
and
Swiss Grid CH-1903+ (which is the new one I mentioned)

Why creating my own position format? I expect from Garmin that this is provided. The Garmin Support already confirmed and informed the developement.
