Garmin Announce Montana 710, 710i and 760i

Garmin have announced the Montana 710, 710i and 760i today, January 8, 2025.

Not much difference between the previous models that I can see. Better battery life and double the memory, but still using the ridiculous micro USB connector.

This is incorrect.

You are right, I just watched an unboxing and they pointed out the USB-C interface. The idea it had a micro USB connection came from Garmin site itself where I did a comparison between the 750i and 760i and both were noted as having a "high speed micro USB and NMEA 0183 compatible" interface. But individually the 760i specs say "high-speed micro USB-C" which is confusing.
