Crash when Loading A Route [Crash 3]

Hi there people. So I had my first gpsmap 67i then the update came out and I installed it. After that it would crash when trying to launch a route built on either the explore app or website. It went back to garmin amd they sent me what they call a recertified device. I got my second device and garmin told me to update it. I did just that and I still had the same problem. So now garmin are sending me a box fresh unit that I will not be updating. It's been pretty stressful all this.

As you have discovered, new and/or refurbished devices do not correct firmware issues.

Can you please share detailed information about your routing experience with 8.80 and previous firmware versions?

I have this same issue... I went to the store where I bought it, and got a new device. Came home, activated and updated it, and same issue...

I crashes when I open a route. Gpsmap 67i on 8.80

Do you think it will be fixed in a future update? thx

Should be fixed with firmware 8.90, released today (Nov 13).

I have just installed fw 8.90
I still have an issue if I use the find button to load a route that has been created in Basecamp software using snap to trail hike activity and device routing set to hike.
Using the Find button - Routes and selecting the Route turns off the device but if I select the same routes via the Route planner menu added to the home page they load fine with no crashes.

RunnerAndrew, please contact Garmin and work with them directly to find your specific problem so they can resolve it.

In the first described case, the route should be displayed without recalculation, in the second, the device determines the route according to its own algorithm using the starting and ending points from the sent file.

The route may not be consistent with the route determined in Base Camp.

The determined route that we send from Base Camp to the device should be determined on the same map that we use in the device.

Determining the route on a different map than the one in the device causes complications.

Connect the device to the computer and in Base Camp determine the route
on the map from the device.

My problem is that my route loads absolutely fine if you go to route planner from the main menu and load it that way , but if you use find button then select exactly the same route it crashes , I have messaged Garmin videos and device folder to examine.
