A simple question:
How is it the reference 0 of Elevation on TopoMap?
Geoid? Ellipsoid? I live in a village with 18 m Elevation and my GPSMAP 67 give me invariably 24 meters.

Re: Elevation on Topo Map
The GPSMAP 67 uses barometric pressure to determine elevation.

Maybe specify whether the read value refers to the indicated point on the map, poupi wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2024 9:57 am I live in a village with 18 m Elevation and my GPSMAP 67 give me invariably 24 meters.
whether the reading comes from GPS data or from the Altimeter.
The title of the thread suggests that it is about the point indicated on the map, the height above sea level
in this case depends on the data saved in the map.
Comparing the height above sea level on different maps, you can notice slight differences (a few meters),
the data depends on the method of obtaining SRTM, DEM and their "resolution".
