I have noticed that my Oregon 700 screen shows a yellow tint while my Oregon 600 shows bright white when white is displayed, see picture, is this normal for this model?

(Yes, the brightness is set to max on both).

Was the O700 used more often than the O600?

I noticed the same with my O750t (eight years old, daily used) in comparison to a newer (and probably quite seldom used) O750t which I bought as a spare unit two years ago. My old one looks a little bit "yellowish" while the new one shows bright white. But you can notice that only in direct comparison. So I don't mind...

The 6x0 in your photo appears to have a screen protector installed while the 7x0 does not. Is this correct?

The 600 is several years older than the 700, in fact, the 700 is new from a box (obtained from ebay). Maybe it was not so new or it's was refurbished. If it was refurbished, they did a good job.
The 600 does have a screen protector (glass type), removing it does not make any difference.

I am wondering if perhaps the glass on the 7x0 has yellowed from more direct sunlight exposure while the screen protector on the 6x0 has prevented the same?

I do not believe so, the 700 was sold 'new', it came in the original garmin box and still had the removable screen protector on it. It was in perfect condition when I unboxed it a couple of months ago. I was wondering if it was something unique to the 7x0 series. Since I cannot return it, I will learn to live with it. It's not that bad.
