What is the purpose of the Green Status light I had never noticed it before until I got my new device off Garmin a few weeks back as I've always had a case on it, noticed it only flashed when I was connecting to the wifi?
Does it flash more often as like I say my case covers it so never noticed it, took it out the case last night for a play around and didn't get any flash action. So just wondered when it flashes and what for?

It's useful to know when your device is still powered on but the screen is off - single flashing green. I find that even when I switch the unit off it has a nasty habit of rebooting and turning itself back on.
From the instruction manual, which of course you have already read... Double Flashing green - unread inReach message; Flashing green - device is in Expedition mode (or just screen off); Flashing red - InReach message failed to send or below 10% battery; Alternating red and green - device is in SOS mode.
I would say that you are missing out on a useful feature by covering it up with a case.

Manual what manual???

. Ahh that explains why I noticed it flash then, because I was just setting the device up and the screen went off which I normally have it set to stay on all the time so wouldn't have normally noticed it.

It also happens to me that when turning on the 67 I have no brightness as if the screen were off, even though the brightness is set to 60%. I turn off the 67, turn it back on and the screen is on, a bug?
