Anything up to and including an almost worst case 'Bricking' of the device. Or even worse, it could create an issue that is not obvious or readily apparent, and you continue using the device in this condition.

There is also a high probability your device will not accept the 4.50 firmware.

One observation on Firmware 4.60 to 4.50 the device picks up a lot more satellites especially on GPS and Glonass.

Well that's my 3 week old 65s sent back to Garmin, Had an issue with the altimeter where it kept saying I was 1700 feet above sea level, which my house is 296feet above sea level. Tried several times calibrating it to the correct height using both my known height and the GPS elevation and it made no change, so I did a full factory reset still didn't help so got in touch with Garmin who said it has gone faulty and to send it back for a free brand new replacement to be sent out!

Got a reply off the Garmin tech I am in communication with about the 67 issues, asked him about the new 4.6 on my new 65s and this is all 4.6 is extra over 4.5..

"4.60 was the final production release of the software. So yours was produced and loaded with it. Fundamentally it's a factory version of 4.50 there are just some copyright adjustments in the device label information. Devices that were produced before these models show 4.50 as latest. Picture 4.50 as basically just 4.50*"
