Yes, the Garmin promo team screwed up and used the Montana 7x0 map page and menus superimposed onto the GPSMAP 67 for this video. That portion of the video is fake. The GPSMAP 67 UI is the same as previous GPSMAP 66 series, and can be seen at GPSrChive > GPSMAP 67 > Pages > Map.

Not enough to "break three legs of a duck" as we say in France, nothing more apart from Beidou compared to the 66sr. And I have a lot of doubts about the autonomy with the same battery as the 66sr, even if the components have been changed by low consumption, to reach an autonomy of 5x more you should not use it, nor save track or follow a route and not turn on the screen. It is not a success.

Does the GPSMAP 67 have really still Birdseye? I thought it was discontinued.

LOL. Thank you for the info, I would have really believed, that they implemted the Montana 7x0 UI otherwise.

---------------

I do wonder, that is the purpose of the "TopoActive" menu in the maps menu? Why a dedicated menu for this?

Where else would the user manage which TopoActive maps are loaded directly to the device?

What leads you to believe the 67 has BirdsEye?

I thought, they will be shown on the same place as all other installed maps like topo pro, osm and more. Is the TopoActive menu just a simple sub-menu for enable/disable of those maps?

None of those maps can be installed, updated or removed directly on the device. TopoActive maps can, so they have a dedicated menu.

See GPSrChive > GPSMAP 67 > Pages > Map Manager > Topoactive Maps for details.

No.

TopoActive maps are enabled and disabled from the Map page option menu.

See GPSrChive > GPSMAP 67 > Pages > Map > Map Layers for details.

On the german garmin site it was stated, but now it is gone. Still many german vendors say the gpsmap 67 has Birdseye. Also here in the video
video
at 1:57 he says, that I could download via WiFi satellite images. I assumed, that he talked about BirdsEye.

Satellite imagery can still be downloaded, they just do not call it BirdsEye any longer.
