Is GPS 2.81 correct? AFAIK, we have GPS 2.90 currently as newest firmware? Did 14.80 a downgrade?

- Add Satellite Imagery

So, if I do understand correctly, they moved basically BirdsEye maps into it's own submenu? I am not sure, what is meant by "Garmin subscription maps". Are these some new type of maps?

The BirdsEye Direct page has been removed from the Montana 7x0 with this firmware update. Satellite imagery is now loaded to the device via Map Manager > Outdoor Maps+. Please follow the Outdoor Maps+ links provided there for additional 'subscription maps' information.

Essentially, most premium Garmin map data will now be available direct to device (via Wi-Fi) with an annual subscription. Initially this will be limited to the US, and additional regions will be added in the future.

Garmin Outdoor Maps+ is currently only available with the Montana 7x0, and will be added to more products with future firmware updates.

Thank you, found it. That's explains a lot.

Does that also mean, that Garmin won't release any new TOPO maps for one-time-buy? I mean, for example, those TOPO Pro maps. Are there any more information about the subscription for OM+? I couldn't find anything on Garmins website about this? I can't open https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/893561/, as I am being redirect to start page. Maybe due being outside US?
