If I do search for specific POI in all POIs, the devices freezes after I did choose a POI. Firmware 13.20.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open main menu
2) Choose Where To?
3) Choose All POIs
4) Choose menu lower right
5) Choose Spell Search
6) Search for something (I searched for 'Louis')
7) Click green button to start search
8) After some time any POIs are being found, choose one POI. (I choosed 'Louis Eilers')

What happens: After choosing POI, the whole devices freezes. I see the map view menu, but no map is being shown. I may be able to click on plus or minus for zoom one time, but after that, it freezes forever and I need to take out the battery (or press 10 seconds power button)

During our testing today we were unable to duplicate this behavior. Montana 750i v13.20.

My gps behaves the same way.

I think the problem is that the gps has not finished searching the database.

1, If I select the POI I want before the search is complete, it will appear on the map but the GPS freezes.

2, If I search for the same POI but wait 2-3 minutes until the GPS has finished checking the entire database before I choose the POI I want, everything works as it should.

I think you are right! If I do wait 10 minutes with freezing, the device comes back to life and map starts to show with POI. So this may be indeed some sort of deadlock until whole search completes.

Garmin created an internal ticket.

Fixed for me in 14.80 No freeze anymore.
