Hi, I just received my GPSMAP 66s and am new to this forum, I am having difficulties - the little cursor selection dot is not snapping to the correct path in certain circumstances.
When I move the cursor over a certain portion of a walking / cycling path, the cursor selection dot snaps onto the nearby river, or a nearby road, rather than the path itself. It seems to be happening in several parts along the path.
This makes it very difficult for me to plan a course or route along the path.
I loaded the same OSM map onto my eTrex 22x, and the cursor selection dot appears to be snapping onto the path correctly (I made sure to disable all other maps, including the disabling the built-in TopoActive). I also tried a different OSM map on the GPSMAP 66s but I experienced the same behaviour as the original OSM map. You can see in the screenshot below that the eTrex cursor dot is snapping onto the path, but the GPSMAP 66s isn’t.
Am I doing something wrong or could this be a bug? I am on Firmware 10.20
Thanks
Cursor dot not snapping to path
