GPSMAP 66sr Firmware Update 5.50 released 03JUN22:
Changes made from version 5.40 to 5.50:
- Fixed a possible issue where POIs wouldn't appear on the map.
This update is being released in stages via Garmin Express, and should be available to everyone soon.

I'm going to wait it out and see if my GPSMAP 66sr updates itself to v5.50 firmware directly over WiFi. It's supposed to be able to do that. Garmin Explore on my phone confirms that an update is available, and that my WiFi is working. So I'm leaving it on, with WiFi, as much as possible. Stay tuned.

Missing Feature 11 still present, can't erase only one waypoint, only all can delete...

Yes, as far as I know WiFi firmware updates do not work at all, at least up through v5.40. (Also see the other thread)
