GPSMAP 66s/st Firmware 10.20

Now I'm totally confused. I opened Garmin Express and saw update 10.20 which fixes the missing POI issue and others. I plugged in my 66st and after a minute or two GE indicated I now have version 10.20 but my 66st still shows 10.10 on the device and still no POI's. I tried one of my 66s and got exactly the same result, still 10.10 and no POI's. Finally, my other 66s which is at version 9.90 is STILL at 9.90 after GE "installed" 10.20 and said its updated. What??

It seems, that Garmin is creating a hotfix, as for Montana 7x0 a new firmware 13.20 was released, which should fix this.

GPSMAP 66s/st Firmware Update 10.20 released 03JUN22:
Changes made from version 10.10 to 10.20:
- Fixed a possible issue where POIs wouldn't appear on the map.
This update is being released in stages via Garmin Express, and should be available to everyone soon.
Please report your observations here!
The GPSMAP 66s/st version 10.20 'HotFix' has some issues.
I expect yet another release to 'fix the fix', but probably not until next week.

Not sure yet, my Montana 7x0 is still installing a huge map update
But I suspect the Montana 7x0 and GPSMAP 66sr updates are OK.

I can confirm about 10.20 firmware. I have a 66st with 9.90 firmware.
Garmin express copies the file to the unit, but it does not install.

With my instance, Garmin Express just copies the 10.20 file gupdate.gcd into the \garmin folder, but the device does not install it. It remains at 10.10.

We are all very fortunate that the device does not attempt installation, as the 10.20 firmware file is nearly 150% large than the 10.10 version. Seems quite clear something went very wrong when this update was compiled and Garmin did not catch it before publishing.
We will have to wait and see if they upload a new 10.20 GCD or skip ahead to version 10.30.

MikeD, we have no choice other than waiting as the GPSMAP 66s/st will not install the current 10.20 firmware update anyway!
