GPSMAP 66SR Geocaching Next Stage [Bug 60]

I have investigated the Geocaching next stage bug 60 in the common issues on the gpsrchive site.
For those who are not familiar with this bug, it is the following: When You start a multicache and want to navigate to point 2, the coordinates can be changed and You get a next stage indication. This works as advertised. However when You want to navigate to point 3 etc. the next stage disapeers and the coordinate is set back to the initial coordinate. Hereafter you can never ever go to a next stage for this geocache.
Because this bug bothers me and I know for shure that it has functioned properly, I have tried to go back in firmware version. The version for which this bug is noted in the common issues list is 5.20. So I went back to 4.90 in which this bug is also present. Version 3.80 works as it should. However this version contains a lot of other bugs which, so I am not going to go back to that version.
