I do have a problem with enabling the WLAN on my 66st with firmware version 9.90. There is no reaction from the switch on the display, when I press the ENTER button, only a beep from the device.

Try setting up the Wi-Fi using Garmin Express for the first access point, or pair the device with Garmin Connect/Explore on your phone.

Just tested and it locked onto my WIFI with no problems at all.

Turn it on and off 3 times and each time it connected to my WIFI.

Yes, but you likely already have your device registered with Garmin Express or paired to Garmin Connect and/or Garmin Explore on your phone, correct?

I do not use any of the Garmin apps.
Plus I set the 66s up with WIFI before I setup the 66 with Garmin Express.
In the first attempt to see my WIFI it did not show.
So I manually added the name of the WIFI and the pass code.
The same thing happen with my SmartDrive 61 it did not see the WIFI and I added it in to the setting to the Garmin.
Have not had any problems with WIFI at all on both units.
Plus my WIFI is not hidden like some people set their up to be hidden.

Sometime just turning off your router for a minute or two helps connection problems be it smartphone, tablets or Garmin units or laptops.
