Hello gents.. On the back of my unit it shows that the unit supports NavIC which is the indian version of gps. Once iv reached india i have been trying to get reception of NavIC but no signal received. I have communicated with garmin regarding the same but they say some units within the 66sr doesn’t support NavIc. But how come my tag behind the unit shows NavIC? Any advice? Please see attached image.

Where and When did you purchase your GPSMAP 66sr?

Was it New or Used when you purchased it?

Got brand new from UK GPS training…. June 2021…
Shows navic support in all websites other than garmin USA… Was very excited to see Navic support in mine but not received any signal so far since i reached india… been a month now

How did you contact Garmin, and who did you speak with?

I mailed Garmin product support and addressed the issue… Initially they told me that few units in the series do not support navic… i then replied with the pic of my unit showing it supports Navic… I am waiting for response… i am getting multiband from other four satellite constellation other than Navic though…

On a side note, if you still can, would you consider taking some (Day Mode) Satellite page screen captures displaying all of the QZSS satellites, similar to our examples at GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66sr > Pages > Satellite, and sending them to webmaster at GPSrChive dot com?

What firmware version is loaded to your GPSMAP 66sr?

Version 5.2…. Updated from 4.9 few days back..
