There are times when it can be good to avoid certain areas such as major road work or closed streets due to a city party etc.
I thought of something similar to waypoint proximity alert where you select a point and enter the desired radius.
If you are going to navigate from A to B and will pass an area to avoid, the GPS will calculate another way around.
Precisely as a waypoint proximity alert is easy to create and remove, it would be nice if this function was just as easy to use.
There are several ways to manually navigate around certain areas but it would be easier if the GPS could calculate the route.
Request, navigate around this area

AFAIK, automotive devices, like Drive or Zumo have such function to mark an area on map, which should be ommited for routing.

Thanks for the information.
I have submitted the proposal but have not received a reply yet.
It's good that garmin already has this for other gpser, it may come in future update for montana 7x0.
