Inreach Text Message Entry - slowdown ending in shutdown

Device: Montana 750i
Issue: Entering an Inreach text message. Did not enter recipient in field (recipient field empty).
Started entering message text. As I get closer to the character limit of the message, text entry responsiveness gets noticeable slower and continues to slow down the closer I get to the character limit. When I hit the character limit, the Montana 750i shuts down the unit.

Can you duplicate this easily?
We have been trying, and our 750i just starts showing that we are over the message character limit by -10, -20, -30, etc...
Never gets sluggish, never crashes.

I will try - I have not been able to reproduce the shutdown.
The unit does slow down as the message gets longer but no longer shuts down.
Last night I experienced random shutdowns of the unit when scanning for WIFI networks. I feel as though my unit is experiencing random shutdowns for some reason. The fact that the shutdown occured when I said it did may actually have been a coincidence.

While I can't reproduce the shutdown, it starts to get slower, when being more chars. For example at -100, its super slow. At 50, I am noticing getting slower.

Thanks - I upgraded to 10.90 and I have yet to experience the shutdown, hopefully 10.9 solved the shutdown issue.
Just as you observe, the slowdown is still there in 10.9
