Here's the inside of a 66sr, but there's shielding that hides the GPS chips.

That metal shield can be removed and reinstalled, just a friction fit.

The battery can be seen by clicking the link provided on the GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66sr > Specifications page, and is the same battery used in the inReach GPSMAP 66i and Montana 7x0.
