When using Round-Trip Routing, my Montana 750i will just power off after 2-3 seconds. Sometimes, it only freezes instead of powering off. Firmware 10.50.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Go to main menu
2) Choose 'Where To?'
3) Choose 'Round-Trip Routing'
4) Set Distance to '100km'
5) Set Activity to 'Motorcycle Driving'
6) Press 'Search'
Note: It does not matter, which Distance or Activity you choose, as it happens with other variants too.

What happens: Device poweres off or freezes
What should happen: Function works

Perhaps it's the map in use and Garmin's stupid disabling of routing in some activities is a contributing factor?

If I try with the included map (TopoActive AUS/NZ 2021.10) it fails with "Route calculation Error" for Motorcycle Driving, but works ok with Hiking.

If I switch to the OSM map it works fine with Motorcycle Driving.

Pic is what I see with the OSM map.

I am going to assume because you say 'Motorcycle Driving' for activity you are using the pre-installed CityNavigator Europe map.

Are there any other maps enabled by chance?

What if you use different activity types?

Well, this is normal. Garmin disabled Car/Motorbike/ATV routing on purpose, when using their TopoActive map. It's pure software, as the TopoActive map itself it able to do such routing.

I can confirm. If I do switch from City Navigator to an OSM map, this function works for me and Montana does not power off.

This is correct. For the initial report, I had City Navigator enabled.

While I have more maps, all were disabled, except both parts for City Navigator.

Still power off or freeze with City Navigator.

I also gave a try with only having TopoActive enabled and sometimes works and sometimes just freezes or power off. But with default settings active, which means distance ~40km and activity is hiking, it seems always to power off or just freeze.

With OSM, its also not fully working, as I experienced sometime also there full power off or freeze.

Garmin replied and said: I have created a report for this issue.
I am not sure, what a report is supposed to be.

Garmin just send me an email and said, this should be resolved with firmware 10.80. Can't re-test yet.

You seem to have excellent luck with Garmin responding, thank you for keeping us all updated!

It seems resolved. My Montana does not freeze or crash anymore.

I have to reopen While it was working with 13.10/13.20 without any problems, the bug is back. With 14.80, Montana freezes directly after you click on 'Search'. You don't even need to change any parameters. Just click 'Search'.

Tested and confirmed. Garmin have been advised.
