Route creation causes GPSMAP 66st shutdown (firmware 9.60)

The following route creation sequence on my GPSMAP 66st results in a shutdown with version 9.60:

menu > route planner > create route > select first point > waypoints > [select a waypoint] (shuts down when selecting)

Can anyone confirm this?

Does this happen every time even if different waypoints are selected?

If yes, please make a short video for us to submit to Garmin software team!

Yes, the device always crashes with every waypoint.

The video requested for Garmin: sorry, not able to make one right now.

If you create a new waypoint on the device then try to create a route with it did the crash still occur?

Yes, it also crashes when selecting a newly created waypoint.

Also tried selecting a point on the map as the first waypoint: that does NOT crash!

You may need to try a master reset next, but backup all your data first!

How do I Master Reset my GPSMAP 66?

• Power the GPSMAP 66 off.

• Press and hold the (Page) and (Enter) buttons simultaneously.

• Press and release the (Power) button.

• The GPSMAP 66 will begin the boot process.

• Release the (Page) and (Enter) buttons after the backlight illuminates.

• When prompted "Erase all user data?", select [Erase] and press (Enter).

yes, that seems the best option to try now, but it's not my favorite one... . I will try it, as soon as this bug hinders me - I don't use the Create Route option that often. Thanks for all your replies for now!
