Calendar characters not visible night mode

Unread post by LostAgain »

Hello All,

Not sure if this is already here, I was just looking at the sun & moon times and noticed the date numbers aren't visible on the calendar in night mode, well they are just visible in the screenshot but I can't see them on the device.
Day mode is fine.

Cheers

Excellent observation!

I have it on good authority this issue will be resolved with the next firmware update!

Seems, the next firmware could fix lot of bugs :-)

Just updated mine and yes it's fixed 8-)

A 'feature' I guess it could be called, I stumbled across few months ago but haven't seen mentioned anywhere yet is the pinch to zoom feature on the main map screen.
If it's here somewhere I've missed it.
For years we've been limited to certain zoom levels, 50m, 80m, 120m, 200m, 300m, 500m, 800m etc. etc.
With the 700 series pinching to zoom in and out like a phone screen works and enables the user to view non-standard zoom levels which is a really nice feature.
Haven't figured out how to save them for use when tapping via the buttons though, any levels but the default ones it appears can only be viewed by pinching in or out.

All capacitive touch Garmin devices have had the pinch to zoom feature since the debut of the Oregon 6x0 in January 2013.

You can see this feature demonstrated for the Montana 7x0 at GPSrChive > Montana 7x0 > Main Menu > Map > Map Scale.

I figured it might be mentioned here somewhere but hadn't seen it until your directions just now, thanks.
700 must be the first capacitive touch GPS device I've had or used as I've never seen that function before except with phone screens.

BTW, you can also rotate the map by placing two fingers on the screen and rotating them clockwise or anti clockwise!

This action can be combined with the zooming action to perform both operations simultaneously.
