AMPS Power Cycling when NMEA Waypoint Received

I have the 750i in the AMPS mount and connected to a HAM Radio receiving waypoints(GSA, GSV). Every time a new waypoint is created, the power drops, unit beeps(lost power beep), then returns to normal. If I have the power behavior set to prompt, the screen popps up, then disappears again.
Brown-out maybe?
Firmware bug?

First, I find this subject very intriguing and would like to know more about what equipment you are using to achieve this!
Second, can you please take a short video of this behavior and share it?
Thank You!

I'm using a MTT4BT from Byonics.
Byonics TinyTrack user group on Facebook
No video at the moment of my unit as it is pending install to my ATV or Motorcycle. There are others doing it with different Garmin products. They are not having the issue however.
When I get a chance I'll get a video!

To confirm, it sounds like this does work with the AMPS mount? There is another post
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=1310 discussing the ability.

Confirmed!
Both posts were started by me.

If anyone is interested I can build and ship an assembled cable with the micro USB and DB9 ends installed. That way you just need to provide power and connect your GPS and Radio.
