When I open with firmware 9.20 a route or plan a new route, no blue pin needles are being shown, you will only see the waypoint symbols, but not the blue pin needle, which showed an easy marking and pined into the waypoint symbol, to indicated, that this a via point of this route.

Most users 'hate' those blue pins, and go out of their way to load transparent blank icons onto their GPSr to prevent them from being displayed.

Why do you want to see them?

If you have many waypoints, which are being shown in the map with its icon, it's hard to distinguish, when loading a route, which waypoint will be used for the route, as the very small dot, which indicates being used for that route, is just way to small. The blue pin needle was here really helpful, at least for me. Do you wan't to say, that this change is in purpose here? If so, Garmin should have implemented an setting for this, so everyone can have it, how he likes it.

I do not know if this was an intentional or accidental change.

Perhaps some screen captures here will help me understand why you need the blue flags/pins?

Hi! First, I can say, that Garmin confirmed to me, that this is an issue and created an internal ticket.

Here are two screenshots of a route, one of my Montana 750i with firmware 9.20 where its missing and
my 276Cx for comparison with blue needle (it looks the same as on firmware 8.50 with Montana 750i).

You can see, that Montana shows now only a very small dot. Normally, it should have a blue pin, so you can see, that this is a via point of the route, you are watching.

Nothing special, with BaseCamp.

Do you have any older model Garmin GPSr to copy the same route to and observe if the blue push pins are displayed?

Can you send one or more routes that do not appear properly on your Montana 7x0 to webmaster at GPSrChive dot com for testing?

Thank You.

Yes, my 276Cx, which works fine. You see it on my screenshot, I attached previous. I also tested My Montana today and reverted for test back to firmware 8.50. With that, the blue pin was back. After upgrading again to 9.20, it was missing.

Done.
