I switched from a Garmin Monterra to a Montana 700. Great device and it is geocaching friendly, but.... why do i always have to plan a route to a cache to see the the "Description - logs - hint" screen?
Is this a bug or has Garmin forgotten this option in the software?
With the Monterra is was possible to point at a cache on the map and go directly to the "log screen" without to plan a route first.

Re: Montana 700 Geocaching
All Garmin GPSr other than the Monterra behave this way. Only the Monterra (running android OS) was different. All Garmin GPSr require you to be navigating to a geocache to view the screen you are referencing. However, you can select any geocache from the map or list view to view details and logs without it being the active destination. Just a slightly different work flow.
See GPSrChive > Montana 7x0 > Main Menu > Geocaching for detailed description.

Ok thanks. Then i have to live with it
I wonder that Garmin did not build in this option, now it takes a few more steps to see that screen. I mostly do not navigatie to a cache, i pick it up when it is on route.
